NOBEL Systems is proud to have been accepted by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), a select group of consumer access providers who are able to offer motor vehicle information to consumers and dealers alike.

The association is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization which develops model programs in motor vehicle administration, law enforcement and highway safety. The association also serves as an information clearinghouse in these areas, and acts as an international spokesman for these interests.

AAMVA represents the state and provincial officials in the United States and Canada who administer and enforce motor vehicle laws. Its programs encourage uniformity and reciprocity among the states and provinces. The association also serves as a liaison with other levels of government and the private sector.

The US Department of Justice is responsible for oversight of the implementation and operation of NMVTIS, and works in partnership with the AAMVA which has been the operator of the NMVTIS database since 1992.

AAMVA hosts annual conferences where industry partners meet with motor vehicle agency, law enforcement and Department of Justice representatives to review the objectives, goals, use and potential of NMVTIS as directed by the Anti-Theft Car Act. VINSmart participates in these conferences and AAMVA’s Industry Advisory Board NVMTIS Committee.
